From Ten to Ace - Thats Good Odds On The Face
Think about the fact that a deck of cards consists of thirteen different denominations starting at two and ending at Ace. In the online poker world, a player needs to produce a pair of ten’s or better to win their hand. Three of a kind and straights produce more winnings as do flushes, a full house or even four of a kind. A lot of people I have spoken to will tell me that online casinos do not appeal to them simply because the odds of winning are not to their liking. In the case of online poker they are wrong. The odds of a winning hand in online poker may not produce positive results every time. However, I have confidence in the game’s ability to pay off when five out of thirteen cards that match each other pay out. This means that in a single deck of fifty-two cards, there are 20 cards that if matched properly will produce a winning hand.
This does not include the amount that the online poker room will pay out if a player wins with three of a kind regardless of whether the trio of cards is starting at a denomination of ten. I guess if I shuffled the deck one hundred times and dealt five cards out it would be interesting to see how many times a hand consisting of a pair of ten’s or better would be produced. Regardless of the outcome, I am confident enough to place a bet in an online poker room simply because the odds are high enough to provide me with a decent chance of winning. Most people will tell you that five card stud is one of the most difficult poker games to play and it is. It is not as challenging as one might have thought when you are only playing against yourself and not with five other people at the same table.
