Cow plop bingo takes off

Cow plop bingo is causing a stink in one American town, in popularity that is.

Residents of Mohawk in New York are flocking to their local park to by bingo cards to bet where one local bovine will choose to leave a cowpie on a grid of 100 squares.

"We try to go into it with full cards," town supervisor Frank Spatto said of the game's popularity in the Evening Telegram. "Usually, if there are any squares left on the day of the bingo, the people there buy them up."

Other towns around the world bet often hold bets on where a cow will choose to defecate, often calling it Fertilizer Lotto amongst other names, but Mohawk's appears to be one of the most developed.

Food and drink stands have been arranged, a cow specially trained and locations to sell the cards in advance have been determined.

A bingo card only costs $5 to purchase, but as many as four winners could each take home $250 if their numbers come up and the cattle-chips go down.
